ABOUT

Seda Kadakçı combines her education in graphic design, painting and ceramics and places her work at the intersection of these disciplines.
She has been working as a graphic designer for many years and her ceramic works progress in parallel. Then she established her own studio, focusing on different firing techniques and traditional Japanese techniques.
The Japanese philosophy of Wabi-sabi, which is essentially about connecting to the world and experiencing life in its most natural form, is a guiding principle in her creativity. Wabi means living with humility and simplicity while integrating with nature, while sabi is the idea of accepting the life cycle of anything as it is and finding beauty in every aspect of nature's imperfections.

With this approach, she seeks an elegant way of describing the natural and pure in all her creations, or of acknowledging the beauty of being in the most natural and raw form.
Over time, he aims to discover both the sculptural and functional aspects of functional objects and transform lighting products into art objects with the desire to change their impact on everyday life.
The artist describes his creations as crisp and minimalist with an organic feel. Her palette consists of colors and textures from the natural clay itself, simple and strong, reflecting the earthly warmth.
