SEIJAKU

 A series of exquisitely detailed, handmade ceramic lampshades, each one different from the other, in three different sizes with different colors and patterns. Each lampshade is shaped using a combination of techniques and transformed into soft organic forms inspired by nature. In the collection only crushed grains are added for a raw and textured surface.  The stoneware was worked in the natural colors of cream, sand, fawn, fire red, brown and black. It was fired twice at high temperature for a total of approximately 50 hours. It has a matte transparent glazed surface that retains its natural depth.
